I'm an exchange student from TOKYO, JAPAN. I came the U.S. 8/13/22. And I will stay the U.S. for about 10 months. I have to go back to Japan next May. Actually ,this is the 2nd time to come to Colorado. The reason I came here is I want to improve my English skills. I learned English for 4 years at middle school and high school. But those are for entering examination , not for everyday conversation. I mean, Japanese English education focus on reading and writing. That's why I came here to learn English. Actually, I didn't choose Animas by my self. My host mother choose Animas. But now, I really enjoy the school life here. There are a lot of differences between Japanese school and Japanese one. I sometimes feel uncomfortable but it's normal for exchange life. I would like to enjoy the differences. After high school, I would like to go to college to learn international business or international relations and I would like to go to Africa to help poor people. I have a lot of things that I want to do but that is one of my dreams in the future.
Outside of school
When I was in Japan, I belonged to basketball club, so I played it after school almost every day. And after that I learned languages and international stuff in Lex Hippo. Lex Hippo is very international company and we learned a lot of languages without studying. We learn languages by making environment that hearing languages. That is a lot of fun. There are a lot of people who have been to foreign countries, so I could hear the experience of their exchange life before I came the U.S. That is very helpful for me because living in country which has different culture is hard. Anyway, I met a lot of people in Lex Hippo and I could accept people who have various background. And also I can see things from different angles. I've grown so much through Lex Hippo actively.
